I haven't seen anymore mention this so far: Darren Aronofsky will direct The Wolverine. I really enjoyed his other films, and am looking forward to the release of The Black Swan down here too, so in my opinion him as director is a pretty damn good thing. I just hope he's a fan of the books the story is adapted from, or at least X-Men in general so he doesn't phone it in. =] Aronofsky is bloody brilliant.Period.

As a spanish, i've been suffering Cruz for a long time... and now she is ruining american blockbusters movies. Seriusly, i can't understand how she is so famous... apart from that, it doesnt look bad, though the director doenst inspire me much confidence... Thank you.I've been saying that for a while and nobody seems to agree. Shes not even beautiful (compared to all the Spanish girls I know) and shes labeled like: ''default Spanish beauty'' Hurm...

The price of success? Actually, I kinda thought the point was that Middle Earth was racist because (a) it represents the ideal of England before empire, and (b) draws a good chunk of its mythology from the decidedly caucasian Scandanavia Indeed but not only Scandinavia but the whole of Europe

Well they're remaking Star Wars using the new 3D (from the rumormill, Lucas was very negative about doing this but some pleeb in the company convinced him to check out a sample, telling him it's not like the old 3D, Lucas tried it and loved it). Guess I should try it out when Tron 3D comes out. With that kinda budget, they should do a quality job.
I'm not convinced its going to work on older films or on just any film.To be honest the only film I enjoyed in 3D so far was Avatar. I guess its gonna be the same with holographic movies...

Is the new 3D really that good? It can, if done right. There were parts of Avatar that made excellent, subtle use of 3D; on the other hand, movies like Piranha 3D were closer to the older style of 3D movie. I've heard through the grapevine that they're looking at using some cutting edge 3D technology for The Hobbit. No specific details as yet, but it is said to blow Avatar out of the water. Just please don't remake Lotr using that...

Use the dust as "You always have a mage pouch". Any offensive, defensive, or folklore related effects could be covered by that style explanation.
Maybe give the sorcerer feat as well?

@Deral How did you make your Pixie version?
I have trouble deciding how the dust works(as in folklore it usually conformed to the story purpose etc) It could work as offensive/defensive and a living component for spellcasting...

To quote Wikipedia: "Cold iron is a poetic and archaic term for iron, referring to the fact that it feels cold to the touch."
Seems a bit silly since ANY metal is cold to the touch. I thought it referred to the smelting process, as well. Then again, it isn't the dumbest thing humans have termed so /shrug It's all about context. Iron is colder t the touch, and stays colder longer then it's predecessor bronze. Also bear in mind that it depends on the culture as well. While iron is a common staple, cold iron -as far as I'm aware- appears only in English-speaking people's lore.(last stray I promise...stats soon ;p) Actually, I'm pretty sure English inherited it through the Anglo-Saxon tradition, which is Northern European. I am not sure myself so I can't argue on that one...
