I'm definitely up for that kind of game.

You might have the character work his way up to the Str bonus if he uses that type of improvised weapon on multiple occasions.  Like first combat he uses a folding chair, no bonus.. 2nd combat, +1.. and so on, until he is using it with the full Str bonus, but had to learn how to use it over time.

Just saw the season premier of Chuck, and I really enjoyed it.  Hopefully the rest of the season has the same chemistry to it.

Briefly, the characters seem pretty clear (no spoilers here):

Bryce: very Intruder/Raptor it seems, displaying some nice parkour moves even
Sarah:  also very Intruder-ish, though she might have more skills we haven't seen
Chuck, the Hacker, of course
and John, a stern Soldier type

Another notable one for me is Fight Club.  I really love both the book and the movie, but they have such differences, and actually if the movie had tried to replicate the book in any strict fashion, it would have been a terrible idea.. instead, what they did with the movie version was very very different in certain ways, and yet still captures the essence of the book while giving it a coherent, watchable plot, which the book really doesn't have.  Two very different experiences in two very different genres, done well.
