Is the Headshot Trick under Black Powder Supremacy literal? The Feat description seems to be, but the wording in the actual trick description does not say it is a requirement.
Does it apply to things like elementals or oozes; things without an actual head?
Thanks

If I was the GM in a campaign where Spirits would be a common or even recurring enemy type, I'd simply tweak the existing tools a little. Like, say, Threaten works even if they are incorporeal. Call it prayers to the gods, litanies against undead, mystic chants, however you want to fluff it. And suddenly Spirit-type enemies becomes manageable, even if the party doesn't have magic or force damage. Of course, if they actually want to kill a spirit they'll need to get said magic or force damage, but in a world where Spirit-type enemies are common, you can bet your ass there would be something like Ghostbane oil that would change a weapon's damage type to force when applied.
This is actually wonderful advice. I'm going to clip this into a file for something we're working on. (Not stealing - just using it as inspiration.) Thanks! PleaseletitbeGodspawn!PleaseletitbeGodspawn!PleaseletitbeGodspawn!

"Compatible" is the term we use to mean "little to no effort to use books together."
"Portable" is the term we use to mean "these books are not intended to work together but you can hack them together with some effort ...
(Bold mine) Well, that just killed my excitement. I was looking forward to using Spellbound with SC3 & 10K Bullets, but it seems that ain't gonna happen.

How do you make someone Helpless? I could not find a specific mechanic to cause this; there was nothing which said, "X causes a character to be Helpless."
For example, if a character is Paralyzed they are flat footed and can only take purely mental actions. Mechanically, wouldn't the character also be Helpless?
Thanks

Thanks for the answers; now another question:
What negates or blocks Deathwatch?
I thought maybe Mind Blank, but it says Divination spells automatically fail. Deathwatch is Necromancy. But Mind Blank also says "...character can’t be magically observed in his location...". I assumed it was intended for Scrying, but is this enough to block Deathwatch?
Thanks

This came up in our last session:
Can a PC spend more than 1 AD on a threat against a Special Character with more than one level of Tough? The rules specifically mention this for Standard Characters, but don't address Special Characters with Tough.
I say no since the rules say you can spend 1 AD to go to wounds, or spend 2 AD to go to the Table of Ouch, if the damage exceeds their CON score for Special Characters.
Also, can an opponent with Frenzy, while in a Frenzy, move?
I say yes, since the rules say they gain additional half actions which have to be used for attacks, so this leaves them with their original actions.
Thanks

That's where I get confused. Under Damage Types it says, "Each attack or injury may inflict only one type of damage. When more than one damage type applies to an attack (e.g. a flaming sword, which can inflict for either lethal or fire damage), the attacker decides which to apply..." it seems you just pick one. The only time it mentions the -4 penalty and half damage is converting from Subdual and Lethal.
Thanks

Do I have this right?
Some of the Elemental Heritage Feats allow you to convert your unarmed damage without incurring the -4 penalty, but you still only do half damage. Damage conversion penalties only apply if you are converting from Lethal to Subdual or vice versa. If you do not have the Unarmed proficiency you inflict Subdual damage, but if you do have the Unarmed proficiency you inflict Lethal damage.
So, if you have the Unarmed proficiency and one of the Elemental Heritage types which allow you to convert your damage, you may do so without any penalty and at full damage when inflicting Lethal damage?
Thanks

Can any character gain 1 die of Sneak Attack as long as they meet the Condition requirement on page 211? It says "When a character possesses 1 or more dice of sneak attack damage, he may use them to augment the damage of any Standard Attack..."
But other than Misdirection Supremacy, I have not found any Feat or Class Ability which grants the ability Sneak Attack. The Feats and Class Abilities which mention Sneak Attack dice say additional dice are granted. How do you get the initial one die?
Thanks
