You have been initiated into the fighting arts of the Dark Eight.
Prerequisites: Special character only
Benefit: You may spend 1 Edge instead of an action die to activate a Critical Success on a Sneak check. You also gain a trick.
Veil Touch (Unarmed Attack Trick): Instead of taking damage, the opponent suffers a –4 to all attack checks for 1 round. If the target is an advesary, you gain 1 Edge. You may only use this trick once per round.
You weave the shadows into deadly forms.
Prerequisites: Riftspinner Basics
Benefit: You may spend 1 Edge to create 8 shuriken. These shuriken each dissolve without a trace after being used for 1 attack, if you drop them, or you attempt to pass them to another character. You also gain a trick.
Riftbite (Unarmed Attack Trick): Spend 2, 3 or 4 Edge. You attack inflicts a number of dice of sneak attack damage equal to twice the amount of Edge you spent.
In battle, you are surrounded by webs of shadow.
Prerequisites: Riftspinner Mastery
Benefit: When you spend Edge to create shuriken, you may spend an additional 4 Edge to cause them to inflict 1 point of Strength damage in addition to their normal effects. No opponent's Strength may be reduced by more than –8 by any combination of Riftspinner shuriken. You also gain a stance.
Web Dance (Stance): You may move along walls and even ceilings at your normal ground speed so long as you have at least one free hand at all times.
