Class Abilities
Scorpion’s Gift: At Level 1, scorpions will not attack or flee from you unless they’re diseased, poisoned, trained to do so, or attacked by you or your teammates. Further, you are immune to the effects of all types of scorpion venom. Finally, you may speak with all scorpions and obviously scorpion-based creatures, understanding their sounds or gestures and being understood by them when you speak. However, animal NPCs may have a frustratingly incomplete understanding of their environment and very limited conversational skills depending on their Intelligence score.
Whispers in the Sand: At Level 1, you gain the tremor-sense NPC quality with a radius equal to 5 ft. per Class Level. This radius is doubled in desert terrain.
Ambush Basics: At Level 2, you gain the Ambush Basics feat.
Scorpion’s Pride: At Level 3, your unarmed attacks gain the injector quality and you may produce 5 doses of improved lethal or improved weakening poison during each scene. These doses cannot be saved or stockpiled from scene to scene, but may be used with your unarmed attacks or applied to items or weapons during each scene. This poison is considered to be scorpion venom.
At Level 5, you may produce an additional 3 doses of advanced lethal or advanced weakening poison during each scene with the same restrictions.
Ambush Mastery: At Level 4, you gain the Ambush Mastery feat.
Gladiator of the Sands: At Level 4, your maximum vitality points increase by your ranks in Sneak and your Strength score rises by 1.
Desert Shadow: You have taken the scorpion’s shadow as your own! At Level 5, as a full action you may shapechange between your own form and a scorpion up to 1 size category larger or up to 2 categories smaller than yourself. This form uses the Monstrous Scorpion stat block (see page XX) with is size adjusted to the size category you have selected (Tiny, Small, Medium, or Large for a Medium-sized Lord of Scorpions).
