1b. Hero - Class
Base Classes
Assassin. Perhaps a bravo from Corinthia or a follower of Katari from Vendhya.
Burglar. The most famous thieves in the world are the rogues of Zamora, though many lands (eg Nemedia, Corinthia) have their share. Some thieves are found climbing the rigging of pirate ships.
Captain. Many bands of mercenaries are found serving throughout Hyboria and Barachan Pirates and Buccaneers from Zingara roam the seas. These wild warriors and seafarers need a firm hand to lead them to victory or plunder, as do Barbarian or Nomad clans seeking a Chieftain to command them.
Courtier. Every land has its nobles from Aquilonia to Vendhya. In Zingara, a Courtier could be a well-dressed privateer who has gotten his position with a silver tongue. In Turan, he may be a Poet whose verses move a Caliph to tears.
Emissary. King Yezigerd of Turan sends spies to many kingdoms across Hyboria.
Lancer. Could be a mounted Knight of the Hyborian kingdoms, a silk and gold clad rider of Hyrkania or one of the famous Lancers of Vendhya.
Keeper. A Healer or "Leech" of Hyboria.
Mage. Some wizards are members of a secret society eg The Black Ring of Stygia. Others follow their own path to power,
Martial Artist. Could be a Swordsman from Khitai or a Gladiator from the Arenas of Argos.
Priest. Perhaps a servant of Mitra or Set. Or maybe a Shaman or Witch Doctor of a primitive nation.
Explorer. Sea-going traders and treasure hunters from lands such as Argos and Vendhya seek their fortune in exotic lands. Merchants from Shem organise caravans to the far ends of the earth.
Scout. The Wildernesses of Hyboria are the often the stalking grounds of savage tribal hunters and civilized borderers alike.
Soldier. Could be a fierce tribal warrior from the northern or southern lands or an infantry man of a Hyborian army.

Expert Classes
Beastmaster. Perhaps a follower of Jherbal Sag from the Pictish Wilderness or Black Kingdoms who commands animals.
Berserker (See Below). A fiercesome warrior of the Northern Lands.

Deadeye. The Hyrkanians and Bossanan Archers of Aquilonia are expert bowmen.
Edgemaster. The Swordmasters of the East.
Gallant. A Noble Knight of Aquilonia.
Outlaw (See Below). The Border Kingdom is the natural home for brigands and renegades, though they can be found throughout the lands of Hyboria. In the east, fierce riders of the Kozaki raid the borders of Turan. In Khitai, outlaws stalk the water margins, striking at the ruling regime.
Reaver (See below): The sea-going raiders of Vanaheim and the Corsairs of the Black Kingdoms make excellent Reavers.
Swashbuckler. Zingarans make good Swashbucklers.

Regent. Some mighty heroes rise to power in Hyboria and then have to fight to retain it.

Reaver.
The Reaver is a fearsome warrior who is at home upon the sea and but is ready to leap into the surf and rage onto the shore to battle and plunder before once again sailing off.

Core Ability
Pillage: At level 1, you gain the Adventurer's Luck feat.
Class Abilities
Rager I: At level 1, you gain the Rage Basics feat.
Rager II: At level 5, you gain the Rage Mastery feat.
Rager III: At level 9, you gain the Rage Supremacy feat.
Seadog I: At level 2, you gain the Pathfinder Basics (aquatic) feat, and may cast Endure Elements once per session as a free action.
Seadog II: At level 7, you gain the Pathfinder Supremacy feat, and may cast Endure Elements once per scene.
Howl I: At Level 3, you may Threaten up to 3 standard opponents at once. You roll only once for the action, while each opponent rolls to resist separately.
Howl II: At level 7, you gain the following trick.
Howl (Threaten Trick): When you succeed with a Threaten action, you also automatically succeed with a Distract action against the same target. You may use this trick a number of times per combat equal to your starting action dice.
Armour Use I: At level 4, you gain the Soldier ability of this name.
Armour Use II: At level 8, you gain the Soldier ability of this name.
Study the Stance: At level 4, you gain the Edgemaster ability of this name.
Rough Living: At level 6, you gain an iteration of the Scout ability of this name.
Seamanship: At level 8, when you make an aquatic Navigation check or a Ride check using the water vehicle focus, you may roll twice and keep the result you prefer. Further, when leading a Co-operative Check with that skill and focus, the maximum number of helpers is equal to your class level.
Valhalla I Am Coming!: At level 10, your legend increases by 5, you gain the Bloodied, Bold & Resolute feat, and once per session as a free action at the start of combat, you and a total number of allies and mounts equal to your Strength score are considered to benefit from the Heroes Feast spell.

A Dread Pirate is a legendary menace of the high seas, his name is known in every tavern, spoken with trembling fear in every port. Sea captains pray to the gods they never see his ship on the horizon, knowing it heralds a grim and watery fate.
Party Role: Backer/Combatant.
Type: Master Class
Class Features
Requirements: Tactics 6+ Ranks, Glint of Madness, must have a sailing ship as a holding with a scale of 5 or more.
Class Skills: Intimidate, Investigation, Haggle, Notice, Resolve, Ride, Sense Motive, Tactics
Continuity: Choose 2 class skills from other classes you have levels in. These become Dread Pirate class skills for you.
Skill Points: 6 + Int modifier per level

Class Abilities
Black Flag of Terror: You have a crew that will follow you to the ends of the world and back again. At Level 1, at the beginning of each adventure, choose one of your ships with a scale of 5 or more as your flagship. Until the end of the adventure, all NPCs associated with that holding are considered your teammates, and your flagship gains a complement of Guards. You gain (35 + 5 x your class level) reputation to create this ‘Loyal Crew’ (with GM approval of the final statistics). You may recreate their statistics each time you gain a level in this class. You may not spend additional reputation to enhance these characters.
Fearsome Reputation: You’ve developed a terrifying reputation upon the high seas and live up to it in person! At Level 1, you gain a +2 morale bonus to Intimidate Checks. Further your Heroic Renown increases by 1.
At Level 4, Your morale bonus to Intimidate Checks increase to +4 and your Heroic Renown increases by an additional 1 (total of +2).
Scourge of the Sea: You have a glare that rattles lesser men. At Level 2, you may take the Threaten Action against an additional number of targets equal to your Class Level, rolling once with each target rolling to resist separately. Also, you gain a trick.
Scowl (Threaten Trick): If the target fails the stress damage’s Will save, he becomes frightened.
Shore Party: Your crew knows that you will lead them through, even if it not all will survive. At Level 3, you gain the Followers (loyal crew) feat. This is treated like the Followers feat except that the followers use you Loyal Crew’s statistics (adjusted for having a threat level equal to your career level –4) and you may only summon them while within 10 miles of your flagship.
At Level 5, you gain the More Followers (loyal crew) feat with the same adjustments and restrictions.
Battle Plan I: At Level 4, you gain Battle Plan I as per Captain.
Pirate King: Exploits of your life are so legendary that sailors are willing to sign on as your crew for no compensation other than to share in your adventure, and a share of the booty. Your flagship gains a second compliment of Loyal Crew as guards and a ‘pilot’ (a +5 Ride Assistant).
